Do you have a loved one who is difficult to buy for? Or maybe you want to support a local small business after the year we’ve had.  We’ve got your back! We’ve compiled a list of some amazing ideas of Newcastle businesses for you below.

Gifts

  1. A massage gift voucher to help alleviate pain or improve relaxation.  Remedial massage has loads of benefits, which you can read about here. If you know someone in need of a massage we have some online vouchers available.
  2. Know someone who is health conscious but has everything they could need at home already? CK Health have very affordable gift vouchers available for their infrared sauna.
  3. So local that it’s practically in the shed next door is SHOUT Brewing Co. If you know someone who loves their craft beers, this is the perfect small gift idea! They can even do a mixed 4 pack showcasing their range.
  4. Know a new mum, or mum-to-be? Yum Mum Tum have a range of amazing present ideas or gift vouchers available. Gem is a very supportive fountain of knowledge for any new mum.
  5. The amazing thing about Christmas being at summer time is that thongs can be gifted! And why not give the Rolls-Royce of summer footwear by gifting Archie thongs! As a stockist we have our own small supply of them available in the clinic and are always happy to answer any questions.
  6. The perfect gift to give to someone who loves a mega firm massage, without actually gifting them a voucher for a massage, is a Shakti Mat. Shakti Mats are so popular in our clinic that they pretty much walk themselves out the door.

Experiences

Sometimes the best gift is being able to share a fun experience with a loved one. Here are some of our favourite local experiences:

  1. Right in Broadmeadow is Newcastle’s BEST (by my personal opinion anyway) escape rooms. You can’t go past the family friendly Alice in Wonderland themed room as a fun adventure together. I’ve done escape rooms all over the world, and thoroughly enjoyed this very pretty experience.
  2. On the note of getting clues to solve, why not also try a Mystery Picnic? Fun to do with friends, kids or as a date idea- you have to work together to solve clues, then go to several locations (some of which you may never have been to) where you collect pieces of your picnic. At the end of it you can go to the recommended picnic spot or find your own and enjoy eating your loot together! The best part is, it’s dietary requirement friendly!
  3. Another way to explore some new places or things is through Newcastle Afoot’s guided scavenger hunts or booze tours. Just between you and me, this is on my personal wishlist of things to do!
  4. Know someone who struggles getting out and having fun due to lower back pain from an office job? Our Chair Challenge is the perfect online program to help resolve lower back problems, and we’ve just made it so that it can be bought as a gift for someone!
  5. After doing a similar experience to Pinot & Picasso recently, I can’t begin to explain how fun this was. I’m not at all artistically inclined, but still managed to enjoy myself. These guys have a huge range of different classes available to match different interests for everyone!

Well, there you have it! These are some of our favourites! If you have something you love that wasn’t covered here, please do let us know so that we can share it with others!
